How to convince the jury of the Margot Friedländer Award of your project idea?

The Margot Friedländer Award promotes young perspectives on remembrance and responsibility and is awarded annually. You can apply till December 1. But how to best best convince the jury with your submitted project idea?

1.) Thematic study on memory and responsibility today

  • Since 2014, the Margot Friedländer Award has been calling on young people to deal with the Shoah and the memory of people persecuted and murdered by the Nazis. On the one hand it is about remembrance work and the re-telling so we never forget and on the other hand about it is your human engagement against exclusion, anti-Semitism and racism in the present.

  • 2.) The project idea is developed and implemented by young people

    • An important aspect of the Margot Friedländer Award is to make your results visible so that you can reach other people and share your knowledge, your insights, sustainably. Be it a planned workshop series on “History of the Holocaust in my city”, to which you invite your sports clubs, music groups and politicians, or through a website that portrays people who fight discrimination and hate in your city or across.

    • 3.) Your project sets a visible sign and reaches out to others

      • 4.) Your project is feasible within six months

        • The project should be completed within 6 months, so that the goals set are achievable. The project periods starts in January 2018 and ends in July 2018. Then it can of course continue. As alumni of the award you have many more opportunities to stay on the topic.
