Young European of the Year 2016 selected

On 29th of March 2016 this year’s jury of the Schwarzkopf-Foundation met in the Europa Haus at the Pariser Platz in Berlin, in order to choose the Young European of the Year 2016.

The jury consisted of Helene Banner, head of the department of public affairs of the delegation of the European Commission in Germany, Professor Dr. Michaele Schreyer, vice president of the Europäische Bewegung Deutschland, Lukas David Meyer, Student and Young European of the Year 2013 and Ilka Keuper from the Schwarzkopf-Foundation.

Seven candidates from Bulgaria, Germany, Moldavia, the Netherlands, Austria and Sweden were invited to Berlin for a personal interview. A pre-selection-committee selected them out of a nominee’s pool of 60 candidates.
